Sharples P180-95 Gearbox in GREAT CONDITION
Unit appears to have been rebuilt and then set aside as a backup at the plant. Upon further inspection at the shop, here was their assessment of its condition:
"The gearbox appears to have been rebuilt and put into storage.
When oil was drained and during cover removal it seemed that it was wearing.
After deeper inspection it was assembly lube (anti-seize) mixed with oil.
All gears, bushings and axils are in rebuilt condition.
The bearings used are micarda cage that is not my preference.
It could be reassembled as is or with new bearings, seals, bolts and o-rings. "
